An Analysis of Two of the Most Common Types of Chemically Produced Gloves




Introduction

Chemically made gloves are usually used in chemical industries, laboratories, industrial manufacturing, and mining. Basically, any job that requires protection of hand from external factors makes use of specially designed industrial gloves to keep our hands safe. Now, gloves come in many make and models, although these can be narrowed down to two main categories: Green Nitrile gloves and PVC gloves, both of which aim to serve the same purposes in different working environments.

Green Nitrile Gloves

Hard PVC Gloves

Another popular industrial glove variant is the ones made of PVC. PVC is short for polyvinyl chloride, which is a petroleum-based product. PVC has many varieties which offer minor variations over other types, but they have the same overall advantages when it comes to practical applications. Many manufacturers work extensively on researching new compounds and tech on PVC to make different and useful types of PVC gloves for a wide range of applications.

PVC is quite strong because of its robust build. Tough PVC gloves offer good protection against most harmful acids, fats and petroleum hydrocarbons that can cause reactions if they come in contact with the skin. They are quite grippy, meaning they are perfect for use in both dry and wet environments. While PVC gloves are employed in many across many industrial uses, they are commonly used in mining, refining and construction industries. They are also often used in automobile industries as protection against heavy machinery, automobile oils, and black grease.
